ASTANA HOSTS DAYS OF UAE CULTURE
ASTANA. May 12. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ A ceremony of opening the Days of Culture of the United Arab Emirates in Kazakhstan was held at the capital′s Peace and Accord Palace yesterday.
As Minister of Culture Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed said, the agreement on holding the Days of Culture of the UAE in Kazakhstan was reached within the Kazakh President′s official visit to this country in 2009. By the decisions of two countries leaders May 16-17, 2009 were announced the Days of Kazakh Culture in the UAE. For several days Dubai hosted the concerts of Kazakhstani masters of art. A photo exposition "Modern Kazakhstan" as well as an exhibition of decorative arts took place.
"Kazakhstan attaches great importance to cooperation with the Gulf States including the UAE. In whole, the relations between our countries develop in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect", the Minister said.
The Days of the UAE Culture in Kazakhstan will be held during the period from May 11 to May 14, 2010. The event is organized by the members of organizational-technical group from the UAE under the support of the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan and the Fund of Spiritual Development of the People of Kazakhstan JSC.
