NAZARBAYEV SIGNED A NUMBER OF LAWS

Astana. July 7. Kazakhstan Today - The head of the state, Nursultan Nazarbayev, signed a number of laws, the agency reports citing the president′s press service.

According to the press service, the head of the state signed the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on opening of Islamic Bank in Kazakhstan, the Law on Ratification of the Loan Agreement (Road Corridor Project - South-West (the International Transit Corridor Western Europe - Western China) between Kazakhstan and the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, the Law on Ratification of the Loan Agreement (Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation, CAREC (in Zhambyl area) (the International Transit Corridor - Western Europe - Western China) the Investment Program - Project 1) between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Asian Development Bank, the Law on Ratification of Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on Construction of Abu-Dhabi Plaza Complex in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The agreement between the government of Kazakhstan and the government of the United Arab Emirates on opening in Kazakhstan of Islamic Bank was signed on June 11, 2009 in Astana. The parties are working on the plan of measures on creation of the bank, according to which permission to open the bank will be received in September, 2009. Presumably, the bank authorized capital stock will be amounted to more than 100 million dirham (1 Dirham = 40.94 KZT). The bank′s branches will be opened in Astana and Almaty.
